The blue Lake Saimaa is Europe’s third largest lake. The lake can be unpredictable due to its large size and sometimes you have to work a bit to discover where the catch is hiding. There is plenty of room to fish, 54,000 hectares in total.

In the early spring we go lure fishing for salmon and trout. We fish for perch throughout the fishing season using various methods. Pike is a fish for both summer and winter: after the ice melts in spring we spin for pike, we troll for it all summer, and in the winter we ice fish for it. In the summer we normally fish from a boat.
Our most popular fishing trips are:
ANGLING TRIP: 3 hours, 35 € / person
LURE FISHING TRIP: 3 hours, 95 € / person
TROLLING TRIP: 220 € for 3 hour, 60 € for each additional hour / group (max. 5 people / boat)
PIKEPERCH TROLLING TRIP: 250 € / group
ICE FISHING TRIP: 3 hours, 50 € / person
We offer accommodation in Kalastajantalo 102 m2 building. The building has full conveniences including a fully catered kitchen. Our rustic cabins on the other hand will crown the mood of any fishing trip. In the early spring and autumn we go lure fishing for salmon and trout. |

Saimaan Paula is located in Rehula village in Taipalsaari on the shore of Lake Saimaa. The greater Saimaa fishing ground covers 54,000 hectares of water. Our trips cast off from Rehula, the Saimaanranta Holiday Center’s jetty, and the Casino’s jetty in Lappeenranta.

Our fishing trips include: a boat and guide, fishing tackle, rain gear, the catch, 8% VAT, and local fishing licenses (no fishing management fee).
