ARCTIC ADVENTURES

Arntzen Arctic Adventures can organise you things to do during your stay in the beautiful Varanger area, as for example:

During summertime fishing for many spices in rivers, lakes or sea/fjord as for fishingtrips on ice/inland water during wintertime.

SEAFISHING:
We offer fishing trips on the Varanger fjord by boat that you operate yourself. The boat is an 17,5 feet open daycruiser with a 20 HP main-engine. 4 – 5 persons. Fishing advice will be given.

Safety-equipment: Some fleeting west’s, 5 HP back up engine.
Equipment for fishing: 3 rods + deep sea fishing equipment.
Spices: haddock, halibut, cod, wolfish, coalfish etc.

Accommodations: We have two different accommodations that can be rented. We have an apartment 65m2 5 minutes drive from the Varangerfjord, and a little house 32m2 10 meters from the fjord nearby the boat. Distance house to boat: ca. 150 meters.
Season: Ca. 10.may to 15 October.


SALMONFISHING:
Location: Jacobs Creek /Annijoella in Norwegian Lapland. Finnmark County in North-Norway is home of the worlds largest Atlantic salmon and the Midnight Sun. Jacobs Creek is 25 miles long coming from the mountains at the Varanger peninsula national park. The river is known to be a superb Sport Fishing river, with a lot of big salmon and brown trout. This river is classified as class A river from a scale from A to E.
Season: 15.june – 31.August.
Rods: 3 rods all season.

Accommodation/surroundings: Cabin ca 65m2, sauna, possible to smoke fish, 12v electricity, out-door toilet, water source nearby. 10 minutes walk from the rivers most popular pools in the lower parts of the river.

INLANDWATERFISHING:
Accommodations: Fishing camps (tents) summer (from 1.july) and winter (fishing on ice from 15 January- ca. 10 May), or apartment / cabins (day tours). It is possible to rent canoes.
Spices: Char and trout.
